Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ one of only three districts in the state to receive the Best Communities for Music Education designation for 14 consecutive years, and the only district in the County with the longest history of this recognition.

Discover a world of creativity at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ third Annual District Honors Art Show on May 16-17. Featuring over 600 artworks by IUSD PK-12 students, this event is a celebration of talent and imagination.

Noah Villanueva, a senior at Northwood High School, has been named the prestigious title of Orange County Register’s 2025 Artist of the Year for film and television.

Portola High School and University High School have each been awarded Strike Up The Band grants from the Philharmonic Society of Orange County.

The OC Register recently announced the semifinalists for Artist of the Year, with eight IUSD students selected for their respective art disciplines.

Students from the District's nationally recognized honors ensemble chorus and orchestra performed in front of a capacity audience. Board President Katie McEwen accepted $2 million check from the Irvine Company to support music, art and science in IUSD.

Two Northwood High School juniors, Kamron Jamali and Kathleen Shumate, were selected as California State Thespian Officers.

More than 60 IUSD students were nominated for the OC Register’s Artist of the Year Awards, spanning over seven categories.
Nearly 200 IUSD students, from elementary through high school, earned spots in the prestigious Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) Honor Groups.
