The  has recognized four IUSD educators and administrators for their outstanding contributions to arts education.

The 2026 OCMAA Orange County Outstanding Arts Educator Awards celebrate educators who have demonstrated outstanding commitment, innovation and excellence in fostering artistic growth and development among students.

Becca Voight, Northwood Elementary School - Theatre Elementary Award

This award is given to outstanding elementary school teachers for their exceptional work in theater education.

Amanda Mailman, Eastwood Elementary School - Juliana McGrath Elementary Classroom Award

This award is given to an elementary teacher who does an outstanding job of integrating arts education in their classroom.

Jerry Vlasic, Vista Verde School - Secondary School Site Administrator Award

This award recognizes school site administrators who have shown exceptional vision and leadership in supporting and growing arts programs in secondary campuses.

Kelvin Okino - District Office Administrator Award

This award is given to district leaders overseeing arts across all campuses. Kelvin and his team in Construction Services have been pivotal in helping to modernize performing arts centers across the district.
