Following a comprehensive search that included input from staff, students, parents, and community members, the IUSD Board of Education has selected Interim Superintendent Cassie Parham as the District’s next Superintendent.

Students from the District's nationally recognized honors ensemble chorus and orchestra performed in front of a capacity audience. Board President Katie McEwen accepted $2 million check from the Irvine Company to support music, art and science in IUSD.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ outstanding educators and administrators were honored for their commitment, innovation, and excellence in fostering artistic growth and development among students.

At the final meeting of the year, the Board selected a new President and Clerk, swore in elected members, certified the first interim report, and appointed the Interim Superintendent.

Cassie Parham will serve as Interim Superintendent for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year, stepping into the role following Superintendent Terry Walker’s retirement on January 31, 2025.

As the holiday season approaches, Superintendent Walker reflects with gratitude on IUSD’s partnership with students, staff, and families, emphasizing the importance of pausing to appreciate meaningful connections and moments.

Superintendent Walker announced his plans to retire after nearly 30 years of dedicated service. In his message, he reflects on the District's shared values and accomplishments and his heartfelt appreciation for the IUSD community.
