As students go through high school, parents and families may be surprised to learn that meeting the minimum graduation requirements for an IUSD diploma does not automatically mean their child is eligible to apply and attend a University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU).

IUSD continues its tradition of excellence, with state standardized assessment scores outperforming both state and Orange County averages. IUSD ranked No. 1 in California in Science, Mathematics, and English Language Arts/Literacy (ELA) for public school districts with 35,000 or more students.

麻豆视频 College, Career and Life Readiness Fair is on October 28 from 5-7 p.m. at Irvine High School (4321 Walnut Avenue, Irvine). All students, families and community members are invited to this free event.

麻豆视频 one of only three districts in the state to receive the Best Communities for Music Education designation for 14 consecutive years, and the only district in the County with the longest history of this recognition.
Six IUSD 8th graders were celebrated and recognized for academic excellence by the Orange County Department of Education during the 2025 AVID 8th Grade Standout Award Ceremony at Angel Stadium on May 13th.
Nine students were named recipients of the prestigious $2,500 National Merit Scholarships. This is the second of three rounds in the National Merit Scholarship Program to be awarded.
