Seven IUSD 8th graders were celebrated and recognized for academic excellence during the 2026 Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) 8th Grade Standout Award Ceremony at Angel Stadium.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and IUSD, along with our school sites, joins millions across the nation to raise awareness about this important topic.

Irvine High School’s Virtual Enterprise Career Technical Education (CTE) team secured a major national achievement, placing third at the 2026 National Youth Business Summit, one of the most competitive student business events in the United States.

These students were selected from approximately 700 nationwide. These scholarships are funded by about 115 corporations, company foundations and other business organizations.

As May 1, National College Decision Day, approaches, high school seniors and their families face an exciting yet sometimes stressful milestone filled with questions and expectations, and can benefit from key strategies to evaluate options, manage stress, and make an informed decision.

The honor highlights the District’s approach and commitment to championing student voice and ensuring it plays a central role in shaping how AI is implemented across campuses.
