Dear IUSD Community,
On behalf of the IUSD Board of Education, we want to welcome our students and staff back and thank our year-round schools for ushering in a successful and joyful 2025-2026 school year. As we prepare for the start of traditional schools on Tuesday, August 19, we also want to extend a warm welcome to our new students and families.
We know that the start of the school year can be exciting and sometimes a little overwhelming, particularly for our new students and for those who are attending new schools. Just know that while you were away, we have been busy preparing for the year ahead, ensuring that our campuses are safe and our classrooms are nurturing spaces where our phenomenal staff will foster growth, learning, and achievement for our more than 38,000 students.
To help kick off the year, our August edition of IUSD Insights provides resources to connect with IUSD and your school community. We’ve included tips for setting language preferences in the Parent Portal, ParentSquare, and our websites, as well as information regarding our different methods of communication. We want to ensure that our families are up-to-date on news and events, able to explore before-and after-school care options, and can complete the important Data Confirmation process. The data confirmation process is critical to complete prior to enrollment.
