In conducting its search for IUSD’s next superintendent, the Board of Education is seeking the community's input about the desired qualities and characteristics of a new schools chief. Specifically, the Board is interested in your response to the following question: What personal and professional qualities for an incoming superintendent will be a match for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ?    The executive search firm to conduct the recruitment and comprehensive search process that will ultimately lead to a successor for , and a  was approved by the Board during a special session on Jan 6.

The next milestone is Wednesday, Jan. 19, when search advisers Rene Townsend and Mike Caston will travel to the district to meet with community partners and employee groups by appointment. Later that day, individual members of the public and staff will be invited to share their ideas and learn more about the search process during an open forum from 5 to 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary to participate in the forum, which will take place at the District Office, 5050 Barranca Parkway, Irvine.
