Dual Enrollment / Early College Credit

Programs Offered Through IVC/IUSD

Are you interested in taking college classes while attending IUSD?

Dual Enrollment allows IUSD students to take college-level courses, typically through a local community college. It’s a great way for students to get ahead academically, explore college subjects early, and save on future college tuition. Full details about all of IUSD’s Dual Enrollment programs can be found below:

Dual Enrollment CCAPÌý

  • Designated community college courses open to only high school students throughout the school year
  • Must have high school site approval before enrolling
  • Classes will be onsite at the high school, virtual or at the community college
  • Class times can vary depending on the high school you attend
  • All fees are waived
  • Students receive grades/credits on their official community college transcript

Summer College CCAP

  • Designated community college courses open to only high school/ incoming 9th grade students over the summer

  • Must have current IUSD school site approval before enrolling

  • Classes will be onsite at IVC or virtual

  • Class times vary depending on the summer course schedule

  • All fees are waived

  • Students receive grades/credits on their official community college transcript

General Dual Enrollment

  • Community college courses open to all students year-round
  • Must have current IUSD school site approval before enrolling
  • Classes will be onsite at the community college or virtual
  • Class times vary depending on the college's course schedule (make sure courses don’t conflict with your IUSD classes)
  • Students are responsible for the health fee and textbooks
  • Students receive grades/credits on their official community college transcript

Early College CCAP

  • A selected cohort of high school students who complete two years’ worth of college

  • The application process is only open during the spring of 8th grade

  • Classes are held Monday-Thursday during period 1 & 2 (virtually or asynchronous)

  • Students must commit to all 4 years of the program

  • All fees are waived

  • Grades/credits will be reported on the high school and IVC college transcript

College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP)
A partnership between Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (IUSD) and Irvine Valley College (IVC)
